The Elemental Pedagogy of Democracy

Democracy feeds on argument, on the discussion as to the right way forward. This is the reason why respecting the opinion of others belongs to democracy.

Richard von Weizsaecker

Democracy is the process of making Government by the majority of the population but for the Whole Population. Never it has been an Absolute form of Electing Government but surely it is a currently suitable form of Electing Government. Winston Churchill once said “ Democracy is not the best system. But I do not know a better one.” Nowadays, the Political Sphere of the whole world is revolving around the Democratic Axis. Democracy is an Ideology and the introduction of changes as per time is necessary for the survival of any ideology. Few Changes or Amend in the Democracy will make it more Democratic. As per the list published by The Economist Intelligence Unit, India has been termed as flawed democracy and ranked 53rd Position.

Can’t we expect to see India at the top like Norway because of its Vast Size but It can perform way better. I will not hesitate to call it the Democratic Crisis. It is the time when there’s a huge need to aware the population with the right tools to fix the Democratic flaw.

Understanding the Democratic Election Division :

The Election conducted on Democratic Mode has its way to sectorise the mass voters. The Population of a constituency may be divided into two parts based on Democratic Election Division: a. Biased Voters, and b. Unbiased Voters.

The Biased Voters are those who are infatuated by any political party or will vote for a particular political party without using their conscience of being a citizen. In clear words, they are the section that becomes the prey of a specific political party.

The Unbiased Voters are those who vote with their sense and they are aware enough to give an intellect reason of their voting without being influenced by any political party.

The number of Unbiased Voters should always be greater than the number of Biased voters for a successful democracy or In other words, we can say that the number of Unbiased Voters decides the Democratic Success of any country.

Always the two-stream works parallel in democratic geography. Say,

Stream A- Stream of Cognizance.

Stream B- Stream of Enticing.

Stream A is responsible to increase the Number of Unbiased Voters in the Democratic State while, Stream B is responsible to increase the Number of Biased Voters.

The Rallies by the political parties, Parties Advertisements, religion and caste cards, etc. are examples of the Stream of Enticing (Stream-B).

Education, Political Awareness, Constitutional Awareness, and the attempts made by different organizations and individuals to make people more Democratic Aware, are examples of the Stream of Cognizance.

For the Successful Democracy, we must ensure that the strength of the Stream-A should always be greater than that of Stream-B.

On the ground level, It is very difficult to implement Stream-A against Stream-B. But it could be done.

Strengthening the Stream of Cognizance will be directly proportional to the number of Unbiased Voters, and It will make our democracy more democratic in nature.
